Come And Sit A Spell

I purchased this little seat about a month ago at an auction. Today I finally got around to painting it. Nothing like Barn Red paint to make this old farm girl feel nostalgic. After having the flu yesterday, it felt good to be outside for a while. The angle I took this photo at makes the seat look smaller on one side than the other....it isn't....just a bad photo shot. :) There is a lovely evening breeze coming off the lake....why don't you come and sit a spell.

Twas The Night Before The 4th

While we waited for the sun to set and the sky to darken, we enjoyed some time with friends (and family) at the Swenson's lake home. Some campfire pies and smores were consumed......

and some smokey and sparkly fun was had.

Wade and Paul and the Lewis' purchased quite the display of fireworks for our enjoyment. I couldn't take any pictures because I had a very amazed little boy on my lap---the best part of my whole day!

Bible Camp

The girls are at Inspiration Point for a few days. We knew Emily's friend, Jeff, was going to be working at camp. I told the girls I had my camera ready in case Jeff was one of the "road sign greeters". Yep....there he was....second in line. He told the girls he would take them on a pontoon ride while they were at camp. Emily was glad he was there because she would have someone to take the fish off her hook when she went fishing!!!

Bike Ride and Breakfast

On Sunday Morning Emily and her Dad....

and Morgan and her Dad took a bike ride to Dalton. I think it is 8 miles to the Dalton Cafe from the bike trails.

Tummies were filled.....

and Emily rode Dad's bike home....and he rode hers. Bet that was a great 8 miles. :)
